The impetus for such a framework was the perceived marked regional decline in coral reefs and the critical need to provide data and options for resource management.
Data has been reviewed and edited in attempt to remove unreliable values.
Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) at the surface and 1m, and ultraviolet radiation B (UVB, 305, 330, 380 nm) at the surface and 1m are the only parameters available. Underwater light data unavailable from 1/1 to 5/20 Note: these data complement the datastream maintained by NDBC that can be found at <http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=mlrf1> only parameters available.
